We would like to return to the Prairie Peddler Festival next year and might visit the property again for the Pickers Market on the Prairie this October, where the cost is only $5 per car.

Heading home from the Prairie Peddler Festival, we stopped at The Farmer’s Daughter on Main in Utica, which is a two story house full of antiques, accessories, and primitives.  Don’t forget to check out the front porch and upstairs bathroom, where more items are for sale.  The owners were very welcoming, asking us to be sure to enter a drawing for a percentage off our next visit’s purchase and they had baked beautiful and tasty autumn cupcakes, which they offered to us as we were leaving.

On our drive home while discussing the store, we realized we each almost purchased the same primitive snowman; if he’s still there on our next visit, we’ll take him home with us.  We did end up buying a little bird wearing a Sherlock Holmes style hat and decked out in fall colors as a gift for a family member at the most reasonable price- only $3!
