What a beautiful Sunday we enjoyed this week! We had such a relaxing day with our first stop at grandma’s and we made sure to bring her flowers along with dropping off flowers to our moms.
Next, we stopped for lunch at General Assembly in Somerset, a coffeehouse and cafe, where we had cherry vanilla lattes for the first time. Cherry drinks are now a new favorite for us. The Somerset sandwich and avocado toast menu choices we made hit the spot too.

We enjoyed browsing at a little shop nearby, Gypsy Hawaii and picked up some gorgeous & unique stones: labradorite, green onyx and selenite. It was fun to see all of the handcrafted items as well and meet Duke, the renowned friendly gray large cat with only one eye. This adorable cat kept hanging out with us and made us feel most welcome.

On our way home, we visited The Green Thumb nursery directly located on State Route 13. We selected some lantana and succulents. There were cornfields just behind the nursery and the down to earth owners, who shared the nursery has been a family business for fifty years, created a relaxing environment for the last stop on our day trip in the country. With the sun shining and the 70 degree temperatures, it truly was an ideal day.
We made sure to make our plants and stones feel at home right away upon returning to our house.
