Last Saturday, we enjoyed our visit to the Holiday Open House at Finders Keepers Village in Heath, Ohio. This is an annual event, which takes place from 10am to 6pm. Upon first arrival, we were greeted by friendly ladies offering refreshments and the opportunity to participate in special drawings being offered. There was also a drawing for Veterans, an appropriate addition, as it was being held on Veterans Day.
We were spending the afternoon with our moms and this event provided a relaxing and fun environment to enjoy being together. One of our moms purchased silver spiral earrings and our other mom purchased two necklaces with book pendants; one being copper and the other being silver. Some other items were purchased, but they were “secret gifts”, so the details were hush, hush. I imagine we’ll learn at Christmas time!
Some additional items that stood out to us were a large fuzzy snowman, who had long hair, which reminded us a bit of Bumble in “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”, a hand painted wooden OSU snowman, a gorgeous tramp art shadow box, a retro Santa bowling shirt, and a snowman teapot. The variety of items offered by the vendors and the helpful and friendly staff really create a warm and unique atmosphere when strolling through Finders Keepers Village. If you haven’t visited this local gem, it’s a definite pleasant destination full of available treasures.
I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Everything from beautiful to FUN!
