The Illustrated Little Pilgrim’s Progress: from John Bunyan’s Classic
written/adapted by Helen L. Taylor. illustrated/envisioned by Joe Sutphin
Beautiful illustrations and creative adaptations using anthropomorphism to portray the characters in John Bunyan’s original allegory of a christian’s life through woodland animals provide a truly unique, wondrous, meaningful, and memorable journey for readers of all ages.
Bunyan’s plot rings true in this adaptation of “Pilgrim’s Progress”, but through detailed and captivating illustrations, as well as gifted writing full of imagery, this version reaches the reader in a different way; there is much gentleness and warmth among the hardships that the characters face.
After I finished reading this book, I promptly lent it to my mom to read; I wanted to share it as soon as possible!
